I bring sad news. My good friend David Yeagley — the Comanche blogger who runs BadEagle.com — has lost his mother. Norma Yeagley died Saturday morning, April 9, at 82 years of age. Go here to read David’s eulogy for her.

I never had the honor of meeting Mrs. Yeagley face-to-face, though I did speak with her on the phone from time to time and once interviewed her for an article. She struck me as a wise and good-hearted woman, who loved her son deeply and took great pride in his achievements.

Mrs. Yeagley had been ailing for ten years. David lived with her and cared for her during all that time. No mother ever had a more devoted son.

May she rest in peace, her life’s work complete, in the merciful embrace of the Lord she loved.

UPDATE 04.27.05: David Yeagley honors his late mother in a post called, “America the Beautiful, In a Mother’s Love.”
