RICHARD POE is a New York Times bestselling author and an award-winning journalist. He has written eleven books, mostly non-fiction, on topics that include business, science, history and politics. Poe’s books have sold nearly a million copies in the United States, and have been published in 21 foreign languages. Prior to Perfect Fear, Poe’s last book was The Shadow Party, co-written with David Horowitz.

Poe has worked nearly 30 years as a writer, reporter, editor, columnist and blogger for various magazines, newspapers and Internet publications. He served as editor of David Horowitz’s, contributing editor of Newsmax, senior editor for SUCCESS magazine, reporter for the New York Post and managing editor of the East Village Eye. Poe appears frequently on national radio and TV talk shows.

Perfect Fear is Poe’s first published work of fiction. He has written numerous unpublished stories and novels. Poe graduated from Syracuse University with a B.A. in Creative Writing (with Honors), and studied with poet Allen Ginsberg at Naropa Institute.

Poe was born and raised in Syracuse, New York, and has lived in New York City since 1985. His wife Marie is an independent filmmaker and freelance television producer.
